TVA Dam Safety Project

tva_dam

The HOA established a Liaison Committee in February 2010 to work with the TVA to avoid any adverse impacts from the Dam Safety Project (DSP) on Tellico Village, including property values, recreational activities and the scenic beauty of the area. Dennis Stanczuk is chair of that committee. If you have questions about the Dam Safety Project, send an email to the Committee at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Specifically the Committee responsibilities include:

  • Establishing a collaborative working relationship—through meetings—with TVA and other agencies, as appropriate, to learn about the project and provide public input to the plans for temporary and permanent safety changes to the Fort Loudon and Tellico Dams.
  • Establishing the HOA – TVA Liaison Committee as a credible source of community feedback and suggestions for the TVA DSP.
  • Meeting with various other interested groups to exchange information.
  • Providing timely reports to the HOA about the Project.
  • Participating in the formal comment process on the behalf of the HOA during the preparation of any Environmental Impact Assessment or Environmental Impact Statement related to the TVA project.
